The National Monuments Service's description
The site of the circular univallate enclosure marked on the OS maps is now occupied by a barn and farmyard. The outline of portion of the enclosing bank is preserved as a scarp which falls up to 2m to the external ground level, but the monument is for the most part destroyed. It was about 20.3m in diameter. The site lies on a gentle N facing slope at the SE edge of the village.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 734. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
