The National Monuments Service's description

Roughly circular univallate enclosure KE053-005---- is located on level ground about 100m from the N shore of Dingle Harbour.

Curran (no. 11) noted a small mound about 46 paces from the site. This apparently resembled the remains of a structure and contained the entrance to an underground passage.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 508. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
