The National Monuments Service's description

Hut site described by Cuppage (1986, 191, no. 544) as follows; 'This site is located in rough mountain terrain, on a SW facing slope overlooking Ventry Harbour. It is comprised of a well-preserved souterrain [KE052-049002-] and 2 hut sites [KE052-049001-/003-] enclosed by the very fragmentary remains of a possible cashel wall [KE052-049----]. A modern field wall bisects the site N-S, and the souterrain is located immediately to W of this and the huts immediately to E of it. A 3rd hut is located c. 55m to SSE of the site. The 3rd hut is very dilapidated but appears to has. been circular in plan and c. 4m in diameter internally. The wall is reduced to a low stony bank, 0.8m high internally, 0.3m high externally and c. 0.75m wide, and a couple of short stretches of the inner wall face are visible. The S facing entrance is represented by a featureless gap'.
