Internal diam. 23m N-S, 20m E-W
Lismingaun: Situated on a slight N facing slope, on the N side of the Parkmore peninsula, this oval rath has been virtually ploughed out. The level interior is enclosed by an earthen bank and fosse, and a 2nd outer bank which is present around the S half of the enclosure only. The latter bank is less than .5m high. The fosse is at least 4m wide and rises .75m to the crest of the inner bank. The latter is less than .5m high above the interior. There is a possible entrance gap at E.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 466. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
