The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. 32m N-S, 28m E-W
A circular cashel situated on a SE facing slope overlooking Dingle Bay. The interior is raised c. 2m above the external ground level on the downslope side, and in the SW quadrant the cashel wall survives as a lm wide, drystone-built revetment to the edge of the scarp; it does not rise above the level of the interior and no inner face is evident. Around the SE part of the site, the wall is reduced to a low stony bank, and for the remainder of the circumference its outline is indicated by a barely discernible bank. Two low uprights at ESE, .9m apart, may mark the original entrance.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 564. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
