The National Monuments Service's description

A cup and ring stone measuring 5 foot (1.5m) x 2.5 feet (1.76m) is recorded on an index card of the Kerry Archaeological Survey, accompanied by a note expressing some doubt as to both its position and its authenticity.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 182. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

In improved pasture (50m OD), on a SE-facing slope overlooking Dingle Bay and Atlantic Ocean. No visible surface trace. No stone of this description in the field: It has either been buried or completely removed. According to Cuppage (1986, 62), ‘A cup and ring stone measuring 5 foot (1.5m) x 2.5 feet (1.76m) is recorded on an index card of the Kerry Archaeological Survey, accompanied by a note expressing some doubt as to both its position and its authenticity.
