Described by Macalister (1899, 240) as a cuspidate clochaun, 4.75m in diameter, with a smaller chamber in the thickness of the wall, and a 2nd clochaun, 4.72m in diameter, to E.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1451. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
