The National Monuments Service's description

Clochán Bán: In open mountain terrain on lower S slopes of Mount Eagle/Beennacouma ridge. A roughly circular foundation, 3.5m in diameter, with an entrance at NW opening into a rectangular drystone-built structure, 2 x 1.5m internally, the walls up to .6m high and c. 0.75m wide. Macalister (1899, 264) noted a 3rd circular structure, .9m in diameter, on the N side of the communicating passage.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1300. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
