The National Monuments Service's description

Clochán na Muiríne Móire: About 30m W of KE052-158----, in the adjacent field. A pair of circular conjoined huts of corbelled drystone construction. The E hut is 4.6m in diameter internally and its wall stands to a maximum height of 3.15m externally and 2.1m internally. There are 2 lintelled entrances from the exterior, set 1.1m apart in the E sector. They measure 1.7m high x .5 to .95m wide x 1.2m long and .95m high x .6 to .76m wide x 1.3m long respectively. The lowest course of the inner wall face continues across both entrances to form low sills. A 3rd lintelled entrance at W, 1.45m high, .75m wide, and 1.3m long, leads into the W hut which has no independent entrance. This hut measures 2.9 to 3.15m in diameter internally, and its wall stands to a maximum height of 2.05m. There is a large lintelled recess, .9 x .77m x .95m high, at ground level at N. Opposite the latter, a low drain, .2m wide x .15m high, leads out of the structure under the wall. Both Curran (no.15) and Macalister (1899, 267-8) state that the clochauns underwent extensive restoration in the 19th century.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1281. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
