The National Monuments Service's description
The circular univallate enclosure marked on the 1st edition of the OS map has been almost completely levelled. Faint traces of an enclosing bank are discernible around the NE half of the site but the SW half of the site survives only as a slight depression. The enclosure is c. 31m in diameter. It is situated just N of the highest point of the Parkmore peninsula which encloses the S side of Ventry Harbour.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 707. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
