National Monument No. 156. Clochán Scológ: On an E-W running terrace, in rough, rocky pastureland on the S slopes of Mount Eagle. A group of 4 clochauns, only 2 of which are fairly well-preserved. These latter are aligned N-S, the other 2 foundations, aligned E-W, being conjoined to, but not communicating with, the N hut on its N side. S hut, of corbelled drystone construction, is oval in plan with a blocked lintelled entrance at E. A 3.75m long passageway, defined by upright slabs, leads up to this entrance from E. D: 3.7 to 4.1m. H: 2.2m. N hut is entered at S by a lintelled passage from the S hut. It is roughly D-shaped in plan and the walls are of corbelled drystone construction. A collapsed recess at SE was described by Macalister (1899, 265) as a chamber measuring c. 1.45 x c. 0.45m, but it is also possible that it was an entrance passage to the exterior. D: 2.85 x 3.85m. H: 1.3m. The other structures, now mere foundations, measure 2.3 x 3.6m and 3.9 x 5.25m in diameter respectively, and the entrance from the exterior is located at the W side of the W structure.
