The National Monuments Service's description
While removing a field boundary here, on the S slopes of Monaree Hill overlooking Ventry Harbour, a 'flagged passage' was exposed and subsequently covered in again (local information). No surface trace remains.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 739. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
