The National Monuments Service's description
Situated near the foot of the NW slope of Mount Eagle, this ruined monument is incorporated in a townland boundary fence which forms the N side of a disused laneway. It is known locally as Leac na mBuachaillí mBána. Two roofstones are partly embedded in the fence with that to the W supported by a single sidestone. Several stones are exposed in the S face of the fence but their relationship to the monument is uncertain. The monument is clearly a megalithic tomb but the remains are insufficient to allow classification.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 38. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
