The National Monuments Service's description
Two stone heads located in the garage beside the presbytery to the S of Firies Church. Stone Head described by Harbison (1973, 14) as the 'hair sits high on the head - almost like a wig - and is combed diagonally outwards from a central parting, and then rolls itself into a slight wave above the forehead and out into a large curled-up crop which projects well out over and above the ears'. This carving is on one face of a carved limestone block (H 31cm; 52cm x 32cm = the width of the carved head no. 1).
