The National Monuments Service's description

Calluragh Grave Yard/An Cheallúnach: This burial ground is located near the E bank of a small river about 300 to 350m from the N shore of Castlemaine Harbour. It consists of a roughly rectangular, stony platform which measures 12.1m E-W x 13m N-S x a maximum of .4m high. The low, upright stones which marked some of the graves average .25m in height. This site, or the field in which it is located, is known as 'An Teampaillín' (An Seabhac 1939, 206).

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 903. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
