The National Monuments Service's description
Lack Chapel: In 1469 'David Fissmoris' was rector of the parish church of 'Balehedirsgeoil with its annexed chapel of Leac' (Cal Pap Reg, 12, 679). The present remains at Lack are those of a Roman Catholic Chapel built in 1810 (Lewis 1837, 120) and there is no trace of any older edifice. The site lies E of Inch on the S side of the peninsula.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 995. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
