The National Monuments Service's description
No trace survives of the standing stone shown untitled on the 1st edition of the OS map. It was located on a gentle slope overlooking Castlemaine Harbour c. 200m to S.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 144. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
