The National Monuments Service's description
Circular univallate rath KE045-022---- with souterrain KE045-022001- is situated on the N slopes of the low ridge that extends W from Flemingstown mountain.
A rectangular depression in the NE part of the interior marks the site of a souterrain which was accessible within living memory.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 303. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
