The National Monuments Service's description
Roughly circular univallate rath KE044-119---- is situated on a slight SE facing slope about 225m E of the Owenascaul river.
The interior is occupied by a series of cultivation ridges and there is a tradition of a souterrain KE044-119001- at the site.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 292. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
