The National Monuments Service's description
On the 1st edition of the OS map, this site was marked by a sub-circular ring of hachures, possibly indicating a mound or a poorly-preserved ringfort, but there is no trace of such features on the ground today and its classification remains uncertain.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1570. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
