The National Monuments Service's description
The univallate enclosure marked on the OS maps was recently levelled. The outline of the bank is indicated by a 5m wide band of bare ground littered with stones. This encloses an area 18m in diameter. A possible entrance is located at E. A souterrrain (KE044-100001-) was discovered here some years ago (local information).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 696. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
