This univallate rath is located on a S facing slope about 125m S of KE044-096----. It is marked on the OS maps as a roughly oval enclosure, long axis aligned NE-SW, but the earthen enclosing bank and fosse are preserved only along the N half of the enclosure where they form part of a field boundary. The bank is 2m high. The fosse is 1.7m deep and 2.5m wide.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 308. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
