The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diam. 19m
A univallate rath situated in good, well-drained pastureland, on a NW facing slope overlooking the glen through which flows a tributary of the Owenalondrig river. The earthen enclosing bank has been considerably levelled and now stands to a maximum height of .75m internally and 1m externally at E; it is c. 2m wide. An external fosse, 2.5m wide and 1m deep, is present along the E and S sectors only. The NW section of the bank formed part of a NE-SW running field fence, now disused, and this section is relatively well-preserved and is faced externally with drystone walling.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 517. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
