The National Monuments Service's description
Cuchullin's Bed and Grave/Leaba agus Uaigh Chúchulainn: Though the features at this site have previously been interpreted as graves and cairns (OSM; Borlase 1897, 2; Killanin and Duignan 1962, 44), the present remains constitute a number of roughly-built enclosures and shelters, probably for sheep. Amongst these is a circular foundation, 3m in diameter and up to 1m high, which may have been a hut site.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1247. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
