The National Monuments Service's description

A standing stone situated c. 250m E of the Garfinny river, at the foot of Knockmoylemore. It is c. 2.86m high and measures 1.9m x 1.1m at base; ESE-WNW. A modern stone wall obscures portion of its S face.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 105. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
