The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diam. C. 18 to 22m.
A univallate rath situated on the lower SE slopes of Lateevemore, in fairly wet pastureland. The enclosing bank has for the most part been removed, but the circular outline of the enclosure is preserved to W by a curve in the townland boundary wall which probably follows the line of the original bank, and to E by a slight scarp, the interior of the site being slightly raised above the external ground level. Though the townland boundary is mainly stone-built, it incorporates 2 short sections of earthen bank which may be original. The best preserved of these is 1.65m high internally, 2.25m high externally, 1.5 to 2m wide and c. 3.6m long. The other is only .5m high and is overlain by the later wall. A blocked entrance in the wall at SW may indicate the location of the original entrance.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 326. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
