Lisnacarheen/Lios na Ceártan: Situated on the lowermost, S facing slopes of Knockmoylemore, overlooking Trabeg, circular univallate rath KE043-200---- contains a souterrain, possible hut-sites and a substantial rectangular house which is probably secondary.
The rectangular building KE043-200003- measures 3.5m x at least 7m internally and is of drystone construction. The walls are 1m thick and a maximum of 1.2m high; the SE wall was recently destroyed. This is locally reputed to have been a forge.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 344. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
