The National Monuments Service's description
Calluragh Burial Ground/An Cheallúnach: This site lies at the foot of the S slopes of Knockmoylemore in the field adjacent to Lisrobert (KE043-236----). It consists of an irregular, wedge-shaped enclosure, measuring 41.6m ENE-WSW and 34m N-S. The S and W sides are delimited by field boundary fences and the remainder of the perimeter by a low wall, c. 0.8m to 1m high. The N half of the interior is level and featureless but the SE sector is uneven, being occupied by amorphous mounds. In the 1840's a circular area in the E corner, about 18m in diameter, was still used for the interment of children (OSNB Garfinny, 25).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 883. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
