The National Monuments Service's description

The oval univallate enclosure marked on the OS maps has been almost completely levelled. It is situated in the SW corner of a field and is now defined to S and W by field fences. The S fence curves outwards slightly as if to respect the original line of the bank. A shallow ditch outside this S fence may be modern or even natural. The N and E portions of the ringfort are defined by a very faint bank which rises only slightly above the interior but falls c. 0.8 to 1m to the external ground level. The site is located on an ESE facing slope overlooking Dingle Harbour and the valley of the Milltown river.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 621. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
