The National Monuments Service's description

A group of 5 drystone-built structures located on W side of Garfinny valley. Two are roughly-constructed sheep-pens. Another is a small low corbelled animal shelter which still retains its roof. The 4th is a small circular corbelled foundation, 2.25m in diameter, also probably an animal shelter. About 30m to NW of the latter is an oval enclosure which preserves portion of the wall of an earlier probably circular corbelled hut which was c. 3.25m in diameter. Wall is 1.7m high x 1.25m wide. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1077. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 5 August 2013
