The National Monuments Service's description
Named 'Fort' on the OS Fair Plan and 'Cloghaun' on the 2nd edition of the OS map, this site consists of a small circular enclosure measuring 7 to 8m in diameter internally. It is enclosed by an earthen bank which varies from 2 to 4m in width and from .4 to 1.6m in height and which is revetted intermittently with numerous slabs set upright or on edge. It is situated on a W facing slope at the foot of Ballysitteragh mountain.
