The National Monuments Service's description
Tradition maintains .that this site was a famine burial ground but graves were also said to have been present before that time. Human bones have been exposed here in the past (local information). It lies on the NW facing slopes of Lateevemore, about 76m S of the Saints road, and it consists of a rectangular enclosure measuring c. 11.8m E-W and c. 21.5m N-S. It is enclosed to S and W by a stone fence, now only .3m high. Its E side appears to be delimited by the edges of the grave mounds which occupy the interior. At a distance of 15.7m from the S wall, the N side of the enclosure is delimited by a stony ridge but the ground beyond this, for a distance of c. 5m, is raised c. 1.5m above the external ground level and also seems to be part of the burial ground. The interior is occupied by stone mounds which are generally coffin-shaped in plan. Some low uprights are also present.
