The National Monuments Service's description
O'Sullivan (1931, 526) recorded a circular stone structure, c. 6m in diameter, on the E slopes of Croaghmarhin, c. 100m to SE of Cahernagat (KE042-093----). The feature does not survive and it is not clear what type of structure is was.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1564. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
