The National Monuments Service's description
The levelled burnt mound was described by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey as a burnt mound levelled c. 1970 which consisted of a mound 'c. 3ft high mound [which] consisted of small pieces of stone resembling brick. A well lies immediately to the west' (SMR file).
