The National Monuments Service's description
In a rath (KE039-088----). A possible souterrain entrance (L 1.3m; Wth 1m) is in the SE quadrant of the rath, 21.6m inside the inner bank. The opening leads into a drystone-walled passage (L 4m; Wth 0.9m; H 0.75m increasing to 1.2m at the SSW end; long axis NNE-SSW). At the NNE end, the passage appears to terminate in drystone walling. The passage is roofed with three lintels. At the SSW end, the passage curves WSW and leads into a creepway (H 0.27m; Wth 0.34m). The walls of the creepway consist of two large sandstone blocks and they are roofed by a large stone. The creepway is slightly corbelled. It leads into a small circular corbelled chamber (diam. 1.7m NE-SW; 1.65m WNW-ESE; H c. 1.85m) roofed by a large stone. (Castleisland District Archaeological Survey)
