The National Monuments Service's description
'Located in gently sloping hillside immediately to the east of a plantation of trees known as Monument Wood, this barrow lies in a field devoted to the growth of grass for the purposes of silage making. A circular platform 17.0m in diameter is enclosed by a fosse 4.00m wide and an external bank 6.00m in width, the overall diameter averaging 37.0m.The bank measures 0.30m above external ground surface, 0.40m internally with the central platform rising c.0.30m above the base of the fosse. No entrance was apparent. Its location in a field which has obviously undergone quite a lot of cultivation would explain the rather denuded state of the site.'
