The National Monuments Service's description

'This site is located in a field, which has been reclaimed for pasture for cattle, on the southern side of a low limestone outcrop. A low circular mound, 4.00m in diameter, now grass covered but apparently composed of stone, is surrounded by a bank curving from west through south to south-east. This bank has an average width of 4.00m and an average external height of 0.35m. From east through north to north-west the limestone outcrop has been cut into to form the remainder of the enclosing element. The top of this cutting is level with the ground surface of the limestone spur. The circular mound is slightly off-centre, being more to the north. This mound is surrounded by a depression from east through south to south-west, which at its deepest is 0.75m below the crest of the mound and a maximum width of 5.00m, but it is not clear if this is, in fact, an internal ditch. Total dimensions of the site are 18.0m N-S by 22.0m E-W.'
