The National Monuments Service's description
The 'Gallaun' marked on the OS map now lies prostrate on the fairly level tract of land between the Finglas river and the foot of Corrin hill. It has broken into at least 3 fragments, the largest measuring 2.3m x 1.5m x .2m. Windele (1838, 106) described it as 3.7m high and 1.5m wide. The measurements in the OSNB (Kilgobban, 34) are slightly less: 3m high and 1.2m in diameter.
