The National Monuments Service's description

Sited on a level terrace near the top of a steep E facing slope with views over Tralee Bay. The land use consists of rough, upland grazing for sheep. This is a large two phase monument consisting of a E-W rectangular house (int. dims. 7.8m x 2.8m; wall T 0.8m; max H 0.9m) built over the older remains of a large hut site. The sub-circular hut site (ext. dims. 3.2m N-S x 3.2m E-W) with possible entrance (Wth 0.7m) at S. The larger possible house site has been partially built over the W wall of the hut site and dug into the slope at its W end. Orientated east-west it measures (int.) 7.8m L and 2.8m W. The house has a small internal division c. 2m from the W end. There is no obvious entrance.
