The National Monuments Service's description
No visible trace survives of the stone-built passage uncovered over 40 years ago during ploughing at the head of Gleann na nGealt. The passage ran N-S and was roofed by flags (local information; CKFC 1946, 670).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 759. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
