The National Monuments Service's description

Lisroe/An Lios Rua: Situated on a gentle slope on the E side of Gleann na nGealt, univallate rath KE036-065---- contains traces of a hut site (KE036-065001-) and souterrain (KE036-065002-).

The Co. Kerry Field Club (1946, 670) recorded a large circular stone hut to W of the ringfort but no visible trace of this survives.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 527. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
