The National Monuments Service's description
KE036-006----, located on low-lying level ground at the SW side of Tralee Bay, is known locally as a 'fort', and was also reputedly used for the burial of unbaptised infants.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 736. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
