The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture (97m OD), on a generally level area of an otherwise N-facing slope. Excellent views W->N->NE of Brandon Mountain range, Brandon Bay and Maharee Islands and Lough Adoon waterfall to SSE; overlooked by higher ground of Slievanea mountain to SW. A slightly rough and fractured sandstone rock outcrop (dims. 3.6m NNE-SSW; 1.05m ESE-WNW) which is oblong in plan and protrudes (H 0.3m) above the existing ground level. It has a subrectangular decorated surface (dims. 0.35 NNE-SSW; 0.5m ESE-WNW) with a slight NNE-facing tilt. The decorated surface bears a cupmark (diam. 4cm; D 4mm) off-centre to S of stone surface and a cluster (dims. 35cm x 35cm) of faint pickmarks (each diam. 6-8mm; D 2mm) adjacent to NW. Possibly other motifs upon this stone, however it is obscured by lichens and sod across N half.
