The National Monuments Service's description
An Seabhac (1939, 247) mentions 'na Galláin' on the N side of the Glennahoo river, W of the feature marked 'Wolfstep' on the OS maps. This indicates a location on the steep mountain slopes above the narrow river gorge which extends SW from the head of the Glennahoo valley and which rises rapidly from 400-1000 feet OD. Although the name suggests the existence of standing stones, no such monument was located and the archaeological significance of the site remains uncertain.
