The National Monuments Service's description
According to An Seabhac (1939, 240), the church from which this townland derives its name was located 2 fields to S of the old village and some of its building stones were still visible in neighbouring field fences.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 979. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
