The National Monuments Service's description
On the 2nd edition of the OS map, this site is represented by a sub-circular broken line, infilled with the symbol for rough pasture or uncultivated ground, with a narrow tail extending N for c. 50m. It survives as a roughly circular spread of stones measuring 28m N-S x 32m E-W and raised slightly above the external ground level on the downhill N side.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 1559. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
