Kilcummin (Cill Chuimín Mhór/ the big church of Cuimín) Church: There is no trace of the church and burial ground marked in the village of Kilcummin on the OS maps. Though now located in a detached part of Killiney parish, the site may formerly have been included in 'that parcel of Kyllchomyyn (parish) in the diocese of Ardfert' which was united to the parish churches of Killiney and Kilshannig (Cal Pap Reg, 13, 336). In the 1840's a portion of the site was cultivated and, during the construction of houses on the remainder, tomb stones were uncovered (OSNB Killiney, 40).
Curran (1907-33) recorded that 'the old people remember the ruins of a church in this spot. The site is now cultivated' (SMR File).
