The National Monuments Service's description
Roughly circular enclosure situated on a SE facing slope about 100m from the W shore of Brandon Bay.
This site may be that described in the OSNB (Cloghane, book 1, 44) as a calluragh KE035-003001-, 'in the form of a fort and circular... and about 2 feet high composed chiefly of stones'.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 360. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
