The National Monuments Service's description
On the lower, N facing slopes of Reenconnell, overlooking the level plain drained by the Feohanagh river, a sub-circular enclosure KE034-141---- is marked on the OS maps and named 'Caher' on the Fair Plan.
There was formerly a clochaun in or abutting the W wall (local information).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 645. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
