The National Monuments Service's description

A rectangular building located W of the so-called oratory (KE034-047001-), this consists of a rectangular foundation measuring 2.55m SSE-NNW x 1.85 to 1.35m ESE-WNW x .5m deep; like the oratory, there is no external height to the walls. There is a possible lintelled recess in the centre of the NE wall. It is said to have been used as a sheltering-place by pilgrims (OSM).

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage (compiler) 'Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey.' Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne (1986), no. 818. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
